World Bank representative arrives in Geneva where Cyprus’ talks are underway

CNA has also learned that the IMF Resident Representative in Cyprus Vincenso Cuzzo is also in Geneva.

Anastasiades and Akinci continue their negotiations on the Cyprus problem in Geneva on January 9th-11th while an international Conference on Cyprus will begin there on January 12th.

The two leaders have been engaged in UN-led negotiations since May 2015 with a view to reunite the island under a federal roof.

Cyprus has been divided since 1974, when Turkish troops invaded and occupied 37% of its territory.
